Doing a side of line caught salmon
« on: January 17, 2014, 07:13:09 PM »
Dinner is way good here sometimes, with no sauces, no rubs, just brined line-caught salmon, and a bit of re-heated brown rice.

With almost nothing in the way.

marinaded the salmon for 15 minutes in a saline solution  ----   1/3 cup of salt in 2qts of water

Drying it off and offering it to the pan in 15 minutes. Ill shake on some New England seasoning before it goes into the little oven set at 325º..

With it is some brown rice (some onion and garlic have been added)

And a nice handful of young, shelter-grown Kale with onions, garlic & oyster mushrooms.
Thank Finch Creek Farm for the Kale and My Quality Mushrooms for the Oyster mushrooms.

Of course thanks to Heather Tubbs for the salmon, we will do some smoked salmon in the next few days.

Finding offense where none is intended is a form of selfishness.

When facts change, I change my mind.  What do you do?

It's a poor craftsman that blames his tools.
