Feel free to make suggestions here - restaurants to add, any ideas for the thread, whatever.

In the future, I was thinking of creating lists within the lists: Italian restaurants, BOA restaurants, vegetarian restaurants. That kind of thing.

I was thinking ITP versus OTP but that doesn't help nearly as much as your suggestion.  Maybe divvied up by general neighborhood/towns?

yeha, i agree. I had suggested neighborhood grouping on AC. but i'm not really sure how to do it cleanly, without adding 20 more sub fora.

Neighborhood grouping can be done easily enough in one post. Just as they are organized alphabetically now, the restaurants can be sorted into half dozen or so areas. Or more. The question would be where to draw the lines. Maybe with sort of a table of contents at the top to indicate which neighborhoods are represented and in what order.

Oh i see...you're talking about sorting in a single post...i was thinking of making sub fora (forums?) for each neighborhood where people would post abuot restaurants in that area of town

When the thread shows up as new (due to a recent edit) I always wonder what is new.  I'm guessing it would be too much of a PITA to mark the recent edits (color, bold, whatever) but then you'd have to un-mark as well.

On an aside, how can a poster have no posts but have made posts?
