On 06/01 AM, they had zero Copper River Sockeye Salmon at the Costco on Windward.  I asked someone in the meat department when they'd be getting more and he said there was no telling.

I called the Costco in Dunwoody & they said they had it.  We drove down there and purchased a couple of pounds.  The Dunwoody store had plenty while I was there.

Plenty at the Peachtree store yesterday. Had some for dinner last night and I didn't think it was as good as I remembered from past years.

How do you all cook yours?

Last night, I used the rub from this recipe: http://copperriversalmon.org/recipes/sweet-smoky-spicy-copper-river-coho-espanola

I grilled it skin side down over hardwood charcoal with a few apple wood chips.

The other recipe we like is Bobby Flay's cedar plank preparation: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/cedar-plank-salmon-recipe.html

Thanks, sounds good.

I take back my earlier remark about it not being as good as I remember - maybe I just wasn't very hungry then. I'm eating some leftover for lunch now and it is delicious!

We took off the skin and sauteed it in olive oil and butter.

Tansu, I do encourage you to buy that reef-net caught salmon from the gal that lives by me..   It is way good..   Sometimes the sides are not as thick as I want but the quality is really good..

let me look up her contact info again.   she is Heather Tubbs and a good friend of mine.

See if she has any half boxes in her freezer........   She is a good gal..

I have her cell # but it is on the other end of the house ..
