The Porter on 1/29
« on: January 25, 2010, 10:27:35 PM »
They're supposedly doing a Hitachino Nest perspective this weekend - the White, Red, Ginger, Espresso Stout, and Celebration are all supposed to be available on tap. Should be fun if you're not going to the Cask Ale tastings (I didn't get tix this year).

Had the brats for lunch - rather tasty. Also, the Laguinitas Maximus is on the pull - works out great for the meal.

I can't wait.  B. United has some other great stuff too and besides a few of the Hitachinos I really want to try the Synbrechoff Porter.

I haven't had a chance to make it there.  Hopefully I'll make it tomorrow and they won't be out of everything good.

I was in yesterday and tried the Hitachino Red Rice.  It was like a blend of sake (it actually uses rice and sake yeast), Flemish sour, and a Belgian pale.  Awesome.  Some funk, lactic sour, doughy sake yeast, light citrus, a little sweet, and nice prickly carbonation.
