Ringo just can't sing
« on: January 13, 2010, 10:25:04 PM »
Is anyone besides me watching the Daily Show right now?  He has Ringo on (with Ben Harper ???) and the man just can't sing.  It's just painful...
There are things you do because they feel right & they make no sense & they make no money & it may be the real reason we are here: to love each other & to eat each other's cooking & say it was good.

I listened to Ringo's latest with Paul. Once.

Octopus' Garden may have been cute in it's time, but I don't think he ever should have tried to sing in the first place.

I was rather embarrassed for Ben Harper who was playing alongside Ringo...

Oh YEAH!  "Hang on Sloopy" meets "Frankenstien" meets "Dream Weaver" meets "Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo" meets "Back off Boogaloo".  Maybe I should move to Sandy Springs/Chastain.   8-0

They had Ringo doing "With a little help from my friends" on A&E's Private Sessions yesterday.  Gives you a real appreciation for Lennon/McCartney.

Well you have to give him some props for having Sir Paul back him up on the new album track "Walk with You."  Apparently Paul knew it best for him to be heard on the song.
