What a waste of time and money. Couldn't they, like, try to find a cure for cancer or something useful instead?

But, honestly, who can say it doesn't taste pretty good. I haven't had it in years, b/c paying that amount for popcorn is crazy...but when i do eat it, it's tasty, although the ill feeling i have afterward is probably why i only get it every few years!

I don't like it pricewise or tastewise. Instead I get the healthy, delicious Goobers.

I try to eat directly before seeing a movie in the theater because I find the smell of the popcorn to be very enticing, so if I'm hungry I'll be likely to get it. It isn't worth the calories, though. Especially after I put all that buttery goo on it.

When I was a kid, we used to sneak health food from GNC - which wasn't primarily for weightlifting supplements then - into the movies. Who needs goobers when you can have carob peanuts instead? (blech)

Anyone else sneak food into the movies?

My parents used to drive us by the Stop 'n Go gas station on our way to Gwinnett Place Mall or Mall Corners... occasionally it was Holcomb Woods.  We would stock up on all kinds of goodies and loop the bag handle around our shoulders underneath our shirts.  You have to move carefully so not to create too much bag crinkle, but we always got through.  We were so stealthy - we were about 11 years old.

I don't like movie theater popcorn, it is usually way too salty.  (I pop my own at home in a brown paper lunch sack in the microwave the Alton Brown way.  But I don't take it to the theater.)  I'd rather use my calories on a good lunch or dinner before or after the movie.
