Went to the cat show on Sunday. Some amazing kitties. The longhair winner was a blackish persian that was about the size of a beach ball if you counted the fur. And the second place cat (also a persian) was even furrier:

I heard this article on NPR on the way to work that was amazing. Some scientist lured ants out of their nest to food and then super glued pig bristles to some of the ants legs to make them taller. He also clipped some of their legs at the knee to make them shorter. The ants returned to the nest and the shorter legged ants came up short and were lost and the longer legged ants overshot the nest and also were disoriented. The next day the same long, short and normal legged ants were again lured from the nest and they all returned with no problem. So it seems that ants can count the number of steps that they venture from home and return by being able to count their way back.

I thought that was pretty amazing. There is something about "simple science" that is very fascinating.

Okay, we have been gone for a whole week..   I know the board is young, and I do have REAL adults in here posting but..... ,  this has been the longest stretch that I have been away from the internet since I went to Brazil in 2005.

We spent a week with my Son, his wife, and our three grandchildren, Claire aged 10, (soon to be 11), Erin that just turned 8 last Saturday, and our boy Joe, that is 5 and so full of it, that a grandparent should not be making comments.

But we are back..  and we are proud that you' all didn't fall into some flame-war or name-calling-contest.     I may have attracted some real adults here to 285foodies after all?      LOL

Yes, we had some small Spam come rolling through, and YES I will fix it tomorrow, but I first I have to shake this "magic dust" from Disney off of me and have some donated left-over turkey and dressing.

Last night we ate at the Grand Floridian in Disney at the Narcoossee's restaurant,  The meal was memorable, and though it was a Disney "Theme"  restaurant, thankfully (after a whole week of the just the opposite), there were NO characters coming by your table and providing photo opportunities.  The fireworks show from the window-seats at Narcoosee's is simply amazing.

Way more on this all later...   I am just glad to be home, to be NOT standing in line to see "Small World" and to be back with you folks again.   Happy belated Thanksgiving...

Finding offense where none is intended is a form of selfishness.

When facts change, I change my mind.  What do you do?

Okay Euni, how many beers can I have in close time-proximity to this prescription of Azithromycin, before I can work on nuclear equipment or cut up chicken?

Drat, I don't have that many, and as I fasted today so I could do blood work, the one bottle of strange beer that I have had is doing the work of many....     I may go to water and see if I can heal?   The doctor hated the sound of my breathing, and said "how do you get any sleep"?    I said, "I don't"...
