oh my yes.......Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco. we were only in Florence for 3 days but still ate dinner there every. single. night.
the wild boar (obviously) pasta was incredible! they also had fantastic black truffle pasta and a caramel panna cotta that had us all drooling.
Florence was by far, my favorite city on our trip of Rome, Florence, Milan and Venice.
not 100% sure it's considered Tuscany but if you can get a reservation drive down to Modena for a meal at Osteria Francescana. #2 restaurant in the world and the 5 Ages of Parmesan alone is worth the trip.

Thanks.  I cannot imagine eating at a place every day ..  But I'll take your word for it..

I hit Swan Oyster Depot in San Fran a couple times in a week but it is the only one we almost ever repeat at.  ( bad sentence ).

We did also lunch at the Central Market where there were multiple excellent choices: http://www.mercatocentrale.it/en/

be sure to check out the Outdoor Leather Market. you can get some great deals, especially if it's a rainy day

and even if you're not really into art don't skip seeing David. there's something about that sculpture and how they've set it up that is just gorgeous.

for Venice we really weren't as enamored with the food but that could very well be because when it comes to Italian I'm not so much into the seafood as the other animals. it might also be because we hit Venice near the end of our first week and we were kind of starting to burn out on Italian. one night we actually voluntarily ate at the Hard Rock which is something I don't even do in the USA. :)
we did go one place in Venice that I absolutely loved though: Vineria all’Amarone http://www.allamarone.com/
I thought their Cicchetti was awesome!

And we have expanded our trip to include some more day, and Rome and other places.

you'll need this sentence a lot, especially in Rome: "no thank you, I don't need a selfie stick."
you won't need to learn it in Italian though......

You mean they are trying sell selfie sticks ?

We have not finished our itinerary, we will land in Rome and spend a couple days, then amble up toward Florence for the "event" then have 3 days after to sight-see and amble around.    We figured that "while we were there, we might as well do some sight-seeing".

the Colosseum was by far the worst as far as dodging the vendors. no one was overly pushy though.
I think in Rome my favorite spot was St. Peter's Square, especially at night. I'm not Catholic or particularly religious but I felt very at peace there.
don't know if you've got a place to stay at yet in Rome but we stayed at a great B&B just outside Vatican City. reasonably priced and very comfortable:

I show some available but that's just putting random dates in. we were there last September. my friend that was living in Milan at the time made all the arrangements. might've been easier for us because the Pope was out of town which made everything "less" crowded.
