You mean they are trying sell selfie sticks ? We have not finished our itinerary, we will land in Rome and spend a couple days, then amble up toward Florence for the "event" then have 3 days after to sight-see and amble around. We figured that "while we were there, we might as well do some sight-seeing". ...............

I show some available but that's just putting random dates in. we were there last September. my friend that was living in Milan at the time made all the arrangements. might've been easier for us because the Pope was out of town which made everything "less" crowded.
