Nicely done JK!  I never had the pleasure of meeting KoPP but always enjoyed his writings.

And you now have a published/credited photo on ajc.com.  But wasn't Dan known as Dano_Mano on AART?

He may have been, that is what his logon at AC was before he changed it to KoPP.

Dan was known as Dano_Mano. I first met him at 5 Seasons one Saturday afternoon. We posted about it and '61 showed up. It was a good afternoon of beer drinking.

Thank you JK for your column. Dan will be missed from all the restaurant boards he frequented, but most of all by his friends. He played to a full house at his memorial.

I for one will miss him for the get togethers where I order way too much sushi........

It's impossible to have a meal with someone and remain strangers, at least as long as you do it right. Dan always did it right. He would meet anyone for breakfast, lunch, dinner or something in between if it promised to be a good culinary experience, and he'd post about it later. Kez appreciates it, and so do 285F.

Long live KoPP!  :'(
