Did you want drinks? Are you meeting them Sunday? That would be a problem for anywhere between Cobb County and Chattanooga. You can get drinks on Sunday in Bartow, but only chains and Mexican restaurants will be open on Sunday. That leaves Applebees, Chili's, and Longhorn's.
If you want drinks during the week I would go to downtown Cartersville (get off the interstate at the Cartersville Main Street exit, turn west*, go three traffic lights, all of the restaurants I mention will be before you cross the RR tracks).
The City Cellar is on a little side street to the left just before the railroad tracks, and Appalachian Grill is to the right all the way to the other side of the square. The food is fair at both places with similar menus and they are comfortable sit down restaurants.
Swheat Market is also on the square. They started as an organic grocer who also served soups and sandwiches and evolved into a full service restaurant. On their good days they have the best food in Cartersville, but they are terrible inconsistent.
If you don't want drinks, or want something a little cheaper, I would go with Doug's.
