Shrinking tubs
« on: June 21, 2011, 06:59:58 PM »
No, not about getting fatter in the bath - packaging that is smaller than expected. Ice cream with a false bottom, hummus containers that have a bottom almost next to the top, and packaging that makes serving sizes look out of proportion to the actual size.

Got a tub of chipolte hummus at Trader Joes today that had me hitting the bottom after 3-4 dips of chips. Man that makes me mad.

My beloved OJ cartons are almost universally 59 ounces, not 64, now.  The only easily accessible brand that I know of that is still 64 oz is the Kroger store brand.
