Crawford sent out an email yesterday providing some details of the changes and questioned the timing of the name change. It is inevitable but may be premature.

Are they trying to dissociate from the westside location, where the food, frankly, sucks?
A breakup in the partnership?

I'm fairly certain that the partnership has been disolved - that's the impression I got from Dennis (original 5 Seasons owner) when I saw him a couple of weeks ago. He seemed happy about the then pending change

David Larkworthy will be in charge the kitchens at Westside and Alpharetta with Crawford Moran doing the brewing.
Kevin McNerney will be brewing at Lucky Devil. Whoever has been in charge of the kitchen there for the past few years will continue.

I love what those guys have done over the years. If I lived closer to Atlanta/Roswell I would put my name in the hat for their kitchen. Look
forward to the new changes.

Basically, David Larkworthy -- the original owner/partner -- has taken it back.
Dennis Lang is no longer involved.

Was told by a longtime 5 Prado server that Dennis was not able to get funding to take over the Prado brewpub. David will have influence on all 3 kitchens. Kevin remains brew master at Prado with Crawford remaining at the other 2 locations.

As long as the food remains tasty, and not like the west side location, i'll be happy...

<sigh> I wish the food situation were the other way around. The Prado location is nowhere on my radar.

I listed 5 and David Larkworthy in my acknowledgments page of my cookbook simply because I love what they have done over the years.
