Hoppy Bunny was very dark, the pour never made it to the glass (after all it comes in a bottle) enjoyed the coffee flavor with subtle hops in the background, smells good, tastes pretty good tried three over the course of a couple of hours. Would go well with some xtra sharp chedder cheese according to my uneducated palate... or just by itself while watching your favorite racecars somewhere in Europe.

What is the abv on the blue point?
I just opened a Duck-Rabbit Hoppy Bunny ABV. ( American Black Ale). At 7.3% a nice Black Ale, still in the bottle, coffee flavor comes thru immediately. Must try another....

6.8% on the Blue Point...

I passed up the Duck-Rabbit Hoppy Bunny this time, how was it?

.....

Sipping (or gulping) my second bottle of this beer it really is a good flavor and would be right up there with Loose Cannon or Bell's Two Hearted Ale IMO...

Understand that, but I don't care for the Rye's enough to buy them on a regular basis. Will do comparo's at the festival's to stay current with the different ways each Brewery interprets though, they are to me kinda like Sours. And Sours are up and coming, got to try them for the different styles, open field, where you ferment and what is supplying as far as whats landing in the trough.
In the meantime, I scored a killer deal on Harpoon Leviathan Great Scott 2012. 40 % off, so I bought the lot on the shelf. (2 Four packs) If there was more, I woulda grabbed the case discount! Great stuff and the price was right... IMO of course!!!

Lagunitas Lucky 13 Anniversary Release.

O.G. 1.085, IBU 60, 8.8% by volume. Beer is a Bronze Age business. Beer Speaks, People Mumble.

After a hot day on the concrete under the car, and topping it off riding the lawnmower, edging, spraying the weeds and putting polish on the work boots, Lucky 13 cuts through the bulls&%#. Worth every penny.

Citrus Ninja Exchange by Westbrook. 9%, very tasty, citrus comes thru clean, very refreshing. Could be sessional but at 9% you wouldn't last long! Could be fun trying though.

Last week I was in Cali.  I did get some good IPA from Hanger24 out near my brothers house, and of course they had some interesting wheat beers that he likes.  One of the seasonal wheat beers is Polycot, and honestly for a fruit flavored beer it is pretty dern good.  Here is where H24 is, go take a look and go out and visit if you get out that way.

Boulevards Dark Truth Stout. And, yesterday found an enjoyable level of Sour's.... Farmhouse Seizoen Bretta, Crooked Stave Persica Wild Wild Brett, Mystery Brewing Langhorn Rye Wit and something from the Greenville Beer Exchange flavor unknown. To coin a phrase..... "I don't always drink Sour's, but when I do, I drink some good ones!" or something like that... The Dark Truth is not a Sour, but boy was it good!

Man do I love this brewery...

Nope. Purchased a few bottles when I was out there last month and brought 'em back.

Will be doing the same during my next visit (October).

<stupidly he says>     I guess I could have been doing that on my once or twice annual visits to Highland, CA., but I didn't.  dammmit..
