Popped open a 420, I think it is the right drink for tonight.

....

But did you pop it open at exactly 4:20?

No, I was in line at Pubix at 4:20, they would have frowned on that...    8)

However appropriate, at 4:20 I was sipping an Irish Red at McGuires Irish Pub in Pensacola Fl.

Easy Rider is great, but too expensive to be a real session ale, IMO.

"The Worlds Most Extraordinary Beverage" Samichlaus classic Malt Liquor. At 14% this is a different animal taste wise. From Castle Brewery Eggenberg and very interesting taste wise, kinda smooth and boozy yet creamy, not for consumption with a sour stomach. Will try again later.

Tummy didn't like the Two Hearted Ale either.

Stoli Peach and White Cran Peach from Ocean Spray did the trick. Feeling much better now....

Terrapin Easy Rider has been out front for me.
I often forget how much I like the taste of Dead Guy Ale, it has been around for the last week and I do like it.
Those Clown Shoes beerz, dern they are all good.  I got one of each of the ones that were available, and while I do like the Tramp Stamp best, some of the others are way tasty. The Hoppy Feet, and the Hoppy Feet 1.5 are very good beers.
I bought a mixed 12 pack of beers from Anderson Valley brewery last week and Summer Solstice stood out for me. It is a good tasting summer brew.

No takers on the Duck Rabbit Brown Ale huh?  I wonder how long it will last in my beer fridge.

Summer Solstice stood out over Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout?  Maybe that would be reversed at a different time of the year.  Barney Flats is one of the best Oatmeal Stouts out there.  I will never forget the number of humming birds outside the big window at the Anderson Valley brewpub in Boonville.

I saw all the excitement when Duck Rabbit first came to town but for some reason the beers never wowed me.  IIRC, the one I probably liked best was the brown.  I'll trade you 4 skunked Pilsner Urquells my brother in law left in my DBR for those 5 Duck Rabbit Brown Ales.  8-)

Which begs the question.  Why do people leave bad beer in a good beer drinkers DBR?

Dunno....

New Glaurus Apple Ale was hitting the spot. As was the Hopsecutioner and the Burton Baton from Dogfishhead

I bought a mixed 12 pack of the Anderson Valley beer and took it to a lake-house party, I ONLY tasted the Summer Solstice as the rest of the beers went away quickly.  Perhaps the other folks knew to take the Barney Flats and I didn't?   I'll try it on it's own in the fall.

How lucky we are to be able and inclined to taste the wonderful platter of craft beers that are available to us now.

I often forget how good some of the beers that have been on my radar and in my fridge on and off over time.

Hopsecutioner is one great beer, Lagunitis "Little Sumpin, Sumpin Ale" is also a great beer , I mean a GREAT beer.  Sure I fall back into the pattern of "Loose Cannon", Bell's Two Hearted Ale, 420, Terrapin Rye, Rye Squared (when I can get it).  But ever so often I go outside the box and find some OTHER beers that fall into this pattern.
