got pretty crazy last night, late night after a crawfish boil.  two 06 120 Minutes, a Bells 9000 and a sierra 30th fritz/ken stout were consumed.  the sierra is a really nice change of pace from the usually sweet US imperial stouts.  the 120 was fantastic, pretty much mind blowing good, and the bells was just ok.  the 9000 is really sweet, and just wasn't a great follow up to the 120.
Yeah, a 120 that old is great, but more sweetness than anything.  Any sweet beer that follows is going to have to be pretty mind blowing to even seem okay.  The Fritz/Ken may be my favorite SN I've ever had.

Does Bell's make a bad beer ?  I am a staunch (218lbs) believer..

...

the Bells wasn't bad, just wasn't the right follow up to the 120.

Not actually sure if I'm going to drink anything tonight, but Stillwater Artisanal Ales just came to GA today.  I was at Ale Yeah! as the truck was being unloaded and picked up a few.  Maybe the most beautiful bottles I've ever seen.  The 2 in the middle, Jaded, are a collaboration with De Struise (most famous for Pannepot and Black Albert) that I've wanted but didn't think I would ever see.  The others are Existent, Saison Darkly, and Of Love & Regret.

North Coast is one of my favorite places to visit. Good food across the street from the brewery, and some plain-ol batsh*t crazy people...

With one of the neatest brewpubs I've ever been to.  And you have to drive just a little further to see the seals.  And the motel we stayed in was quite enjoyable as well.  And then there's added bonus of driving through Boonville and Mendocino on the way.

Damage from last night included Cigar City Guava Grove, Stillwater Of Love and Regret, Stillwater Existent, Cascade Kriek, Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga, 2009 Allagash Interlude, Allagash Tripel, Boulevard Dark Truth, and Lost Abbey Carnevale.  To go with a laksa and massuman curry I made.

Westmalle Dubbel.  Sometimes you just need a good Trappist and this one is pretty incredible.  It's been at least 2 years since I've had one and it's better than I remember.

Testing Mario B's strawberry bellinis as a possible Easter cocktail.  Not very good.  Think I'll stick with the tried and true white wine Sangria.

I have recently found Kirklands small batch bourbon. Aged 7 years at 103 proof. A very mellow drink. I'm loving it. $20 a liter.
