Southern Tier has a very nice IPA on tap at bsp.  They also have an imperial red that gets good reviews but I haven't had it yet.

Well it is not wine nor beer it is Red Rock Golden Ginger Ale.

it is so spicy that I (personally) cannot even breathe the air above the glass before taking a sip..

Damn good beverage.   I cannot think of what alcohol it would go good with..  Maybe Gin?

I'm a huge fan of Vernor's ginger ale which I consider to be pretty spicy.  Wonder how it compares to the Red Rock.  Back in the late '70s Vernor's used to come in these unmarked/unlabeled clear glass bottles.  When the neighborhood kids would see me drinking one of those they thought it was beer.

Red Rock is spicier than Vernor's (which is also delicious). I'm thinking rum as well.

Fresh Market has Blenheim - if they don't have it in stock right when you go by one I'm nearly certain they can order it for you.

I have a real tough time justifying $8 for a 22oz bottle of good beer.

Make sure you grab the red cap, Mike.  If you dare...  All other ginger ales shake in the shadows of the giant and merciless Blenheim.
