Going to Key Biscayne for a conference, and need to take a client (along with spouses) out for dinner in the area, including the Miami area). Looking for a really good and interesting place; price not really a concern. I'd appreciate thoughts.

We just got back from Miami. We ate at Scarpetta both the fish and pasta where great. Avoid Michale's genuine cuisine. We also had a very good lunch at Sra. Martinez.

It's been a few years since we moved here from SoFla but my understanding is Versailles in Little Havana is still as good as ever. It is the place to go if you enjoy the Cuban dining experience, as it is the oldest and most loved of its kind. There's a bakery as well as a dining room.
Their website has been "coming soon" for quite awhile, but here's a post in Chowhound that accurately describes what you'll encounter.

We found a few gems in Lauderdale and Miami..
West Miami gem is this one..

No kidding, Javier Florez has created a small group of authenticity and bold aji chili flavors that are a new experience to Deanne and I and at least one incredible meal.
