AndyBoy's Retirement
« on: September 15, 2010, 03:14:46 PM »
Well gang I have about another hour before I start a new chapter in my life. I am retiring after 24 years with my present company and 40 years total. It has been a wild ride but now I hope to have some quality time to pursue new adventures and challenges. Should have a lot more time to explore new restaurants and markets and do some serious cooking. Wish me luck.

A 40-year career is not too shabby!  Good luck in the next phase.

I was a just a boy when I started but still those were dog years. I had a great first day off and a great burden has been lifted. Not working ain't that bad!

There will be days when you wish you had a desk, a real multi-number phone, and a PA to fiddle with your correspondence, and days when you will just love to sleep in.  Now, what's in the bucket list ?

Well we have a lot of plans. We are going to relocate to Beaufort, S.C. and become members of the Lowcountry. That is going to take awhile though. I love it down there, it is beautiful with water everywhere and lots of good fishing. They love retirees and the pace of living is really laid back. I plan on painting watercolors again, maybe take up skeet shooting and get a boat for sure. Don't worry I will stay in touch, you can't get rid of me that easily.
