Alon's (both locations)
« on: October 28, 2009, 05:56:44 PM »

Thank goodness one of their locations is near where CP works..     Sometimes I get some good tidbits that she brings back after having a business lunch there.  She is always impressed by the food, and I am always impressed by the tidbits.  My hat is off to Rocky at the Ashford Dunwoody location, he is just the best.

I met up with a friend for lunch on Tuesday. I usually get a roasted chicken with pesto sandwich but I thought I would try something new. I ordered the Tuscany sandwich (Goat cheese with chives, arugula, marinated-roasted eggplant and sun-dried tomatoes on Whole Wheat). It was good but I would have liked a little more of the eggplant and arugula. I finished off the lunch and picked up an assortment of the bite sized cookies (Chocolate Chunk Pecan, Oatmeal Raisin, and Double Chocolate Chunk) to take home for after dinner. The Chocolate Chunk Pecan bites are the winner in our household!

Great bread. I usually stop in after going to the Morningside Farmers Market.
