I think they're OK. It is a chain, and it's in a mall, and you have to go to Perimeter to get this deal, so I wouldn't go get it even if they'd add my 50% and your 50% together and just give me free cookies.

I just don't think I'd say "ew" about cookies. A cookie has to be pretty bad for me to want to say "ew."

Donuts, on the other hand. . . I'm not fond of donuts at all. Ew.  :P

Well, it's obvious that you and I don't have the exact same likes and dislikes. I was just curious as to whether you dislike cookies in general, or if there's something wrong with Great American Cookies in particular. Did you find a bug in one of them or something?

Incidentally, I went to San Francisco Coffee on the day that they had the ScoutMob deal to try to buy a bag of beans, and the girl behind the counter said she couldn't give me the discount until the next day because they needed to get a list of the codes that were valid. That was confusing. I thought the ScoutMob deals were only valid on the day they come out, so why would I have to wait until the next day?

I didn't bother going back to buy the coffee the next day, so they lost out on my business. Has anyone else had this happen?

OK, I just looked up the texts on my not-very-smart phone and the coupons that I have in there don't expire until November, so I was mistaken. I think I was under the impression that it was just a one day deal because that made it sound more like a fun game. I suppose I can still pretend that I can only get the deal today so it will choose where I go to lunch for me, but knowing that I have months to use the coupon suddenly makes it feel a little less exciting.

Oh, well.

The "exciting" part is merely that you only have one day to sign up to receive the deal. I actually have them email them to me and then I print them out and use like a coupon.

I'm very glad that the offers do not expire at the end of one day, but I agree that that would certainly make things more exciting!
