Actually, I think it may already be open.  Saw a sign for Ibex Ethiopian Restaurant and bar in the North DeKalb Square shopping center on L'ville Highway at North Druid Hills.  I haven't been for my annual Ethipian dinner yet so maybe I will give it a try.

Blais tweeting/hinting today that the location for FLIP Buckhead to be "revealed soon".  Wonder of he knows that burgers are so 2009?

I thought I heard months ago - and posted on the other forum - that they were going to open the second location in the shopping center on the corner of Piedmont and Roswell Roads - Tuxedo Festival or similar - will be interested to see if this is indeed the case.

Saw a sign today confirming that Flip will indeed open (it says this fall) in that shopping center.

'Cue (the barbecue joint in Milton) is set to open a second location in Cumming. Will be on GA-20 about a mile east of 400. Hopefully there will be more parking here!

Speaking of Johns Creek, I saw a sign at the corner of Old Ali-bama and Jones Bridge for a new sports bar. The sign pointed in the direction of Jones Bridge towards Old Milton. It was one of those cheesey signs they hammer in the ground, the sports bar is not at that intersection, just the sign.

Did that craptastic American Ale House close and get replaced? Dern, I made mental note and wanted to look it up, but forgot about it and the name, so I can't Google.

<crickets>

Well anyway, yes it is in the old AAH location. Gee whiz, minimal beer selection even for a sports bar, typical fare but hopefully the kids menu means it is non-smoking, correcting one of the mistakes the short-lived previous place made. http://yatessportspub.com/index.html

Same owners as Freedland's, before fire. I am so glad that the eyesore of the burned out building is being replaced by a local pub!

so awesome to hear that. Sean Freedland plays in my hockey league. if he can get folks to come by after games he'll really rake in the dough! :)

Not sure if this belongs here so move if needed.  According to CL, Ron Eyester to open the Family Dog, a bar in Morningside.  Address listed as 1402 N Highland which is fairly generic for the building there so I'm thinking that it is the Pomodoro spot.  Would be great to have  neighborhood pub in the area.

http://www.derbiergarten.com/

"Authentic German Biergarten and Restaurant"
300 Marietta St. (Downtown)

Looking for European servers, too, I heard.

Now open, I believe, as of a day or two ago.  The web site now lists food and drink menus.  I'd go tonight but have a commitment. Someone needs to check it out and report.  When I walked by on Monday there were still workmen buzzing around.

Oh, that's the site of the old Wine Loft. It's a great space but parking is incredibly limited and very expensive. it's right next to Rise Sushi Lounge.
