Any restaurant recommendations for the Tampa/Sarasota area? We are Spring Break-ing there. Thanks!

Now style? What style is is? Imagine Mellow Mushroom if MM were really good. Unique--in a good way--garlic crust.

In Tampa I highly recommend La Teresita - but not the fancy big part but the tiny, divey, diner part that is attached (with the vinal booths). Super good and super cheap. Worth driving out of the way a bit for.

Bern's is the best steak I have ever had and I went ready to hate it but it's that good. La teresita is a restaurant we need in Atlanta fantastic food cheap and friendly. DO not go to the Columbian I know it's been there since 1905 but the worst meal I've had in 4 or 5 years.

I agree that the Columbian sucks.

And we had a good time at Berne's but it is very campy and not everyone's cup of tea. I'd research it first and see if you can find pics of the bordello-like atmosphere. If you do decide to go there, watch out for ordering too much food. Portions are large, esp given Atlanta's a la carte steak options.
