Hop Alley
« on: April 29, 2015, 01:28:52 PM »
No one seems to recommend places to eat on here any more but I have to give a grubber recommendation.  I have been looking for a #2 favorite lunch in the BOA since Artisan Foods closed and with it went the steak sandwich  :'( .  Today I found it...

Duck confit shredded and sauteed with apple bacon kraut and Hop Alley BBQ sauce with fried onions and pickles on ciabatta.  OH MY!!

I had the huge onion rings on the side and they were disappointingly greasy so I would not recommend those but the sammy... omg.

Hope to see you there soon!!!

As far as lack of recs, like I said regarding Sexy Foodie, you can't start a fire without a spark.

I agree about HA. The duck confit sandwich is among my fave in the area. I'm a big sandwich fan--well okay I'm a fan of anything that's not a vegetable I guess. But with many great sandwich options around town, that one holds it's own.

The venison meatloaf is great too. I had the platter, but they also offer it as a sandwich.
