I am sure we all make these mistakes now and again..  We have talked about this before, but it is informative to see what mistakes others have made.

Many of these are mistakes my SO is making as he begins to spend more time in front of a hot stove. Incidentally, I've been guilty of the whole simmer vs. boil thing many times. Gotta work on the patience factor.

The one I see the most is not getting the pan hot enough.  It's like people are scared of letting the pan get hot.  And the last one about using good ingredients had a picture of Spectrum oil, which I love (especially their safflower oil).  People don't realize how much of a difference your oil can make.
