Title: Hobnob Neighborhood Tavern - Ansley / Morningside
Post by: Barnum on February 13, 2010, 11:42:47 AM
The Website (http://www.hobnobatlanta.com/)

1551 Piedmont Ave NE
(404) 968-2288

Their website says they're opening up on the 19th.  I'm impressed with the full website with menu and prices being up BEFORE they open...

Beer list seems okay, but some of the things on the food menu that got my attention were the braised short rib tacos and the poutine.  The chocolate stout milkshake also sounds very good.

I wonder where they have arranged parking? When it was Caribou it had like 2 spaces (ok maybe 6 and hard to get in and out of).

The neighborhood organization has been fighting a beltline stop and high density housing near that corner.  I played at Smith's last night and the whole area is just a car disaster.  I guess they like it that way.  I"ll stay away.

What do you mean you "played"?  Give us a head's up next time; free advertising in the concert thread!

I played trumpet in a Beatles tribute band (Please PleaseRock Me).  It was a good show.  I'll post if there's another.

Stopped by yesterday afternoon. Quite a crowd there watching the hockey game.  I managed to get a parking spot up front.  I got the last stool at the bar and had the Belgian Endive Boats.  Quite tasty!  I'll be back but will probably walk there instead of dealing with the parking.
