I am having a good time with this.  Sure it is more socially driven than produce driven but it is fun, it is an OPEN activity, where all levels of gardeners participate.   I like it, see my Flickr pictures

We ate a nice head of romaine lettuce out of one of the garden beds in the community garden.  We had permission as they had planted a dozen plants and could not possibly use them as quickly as they wanted.

This romaine is so much different than the hardy = shippable romaine you get in the store.  this was delicious, slightly bitter and fairly fragile.  Even the outside leaves were perfect but had not hardened off like the ones from the grocery store.   Very delicious.

Hauling a pick-up-truck full of 3 year aged horse manure and bedding compost to the Community garden today for general use.    It's looking good for some summer crops.
