So, what is the DOT construction project near 400/Syndey Marcus? I don't see any info on the DOT site about it. It sure is a pain if you commute through there but I have discovered that cutting through the Buford Highway exit over to Syndey Marcus and then getting back on 400 helps a lot.

I do commute through there, and thanks for the tip.

THIS IS REALLY US...!!!

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took

The melody out of music,

The pride out of appearance,

The courtesy out of driving,

The romance out of love,

The commitment out of marriage,

The responsibility out of parenthood,

The togetherness out of the family,

The learning out of education,

The service out of patriotism,

The Golden Rule from rulers,

The nativity scene out of cities,

The civility out of behavior,

The refinement out of language,

The dedication out of employment,

The prudence out of spending,

The ambition out of achievement or

God out of government and school.

And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated patience and tolerance from personal relationships and interactions with others!!

And, we do understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who have fought and died for our country.

Just look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts as they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts!

YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!

I'm the life of the party..... Even if it lasts until 8 p.m.

I'm very good at opening childproof caps..... With a hammer.

I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.

I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a thing you're saying.

I'm sure everything I can't find is in a safe secure place, somewhere.

I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that's just my left leg.

I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

Yes, I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life!

Now if I could only remember who sent this to me, I wouldn't send it back to them, but I would send it to many more too!

Sure! I've enjoyed the last few rainy days with no construction. Looks like they are going to be there for a long while...

I sure do miss some of the past Chinese New Year events that we had together..   We could still plan one this coming week if someone wanted to step forward and do the planning and arrangement.

The name Frank Ma, ranks so highly in our past.  I wish that he and his wife and crew were doing a restaurant right now.

Did someone say they were going to BoBo Garden?   When, what time?

"Taste My Soup. Please!"

One afternoon a waiter served a bowl of chicken
soup to an elderly gentleman. As he turned away
to return to the kitchen the customer stopped him,
calling: "Waiter!"

WAITER: "Yes,sir, is there something wrong?"

CUSTOMER: "The soup. Taste it."

WAITER: "I beg your pardon, Sir?"

CUSTOMER: "Taste it."

WAITER: "But, Sir, I can assure you that the soup
is excellent."

CUSTOMER: "Taste it."

WAITER: "Sir, the soup was made this morning
of the finest ingredients."

CUSTOMER: "Taste it!"

WAITER: exasperated, "All right, Sir, I'll taste it."
Then after a pause he said, "Where is the spoon?"

To which the customer replied triumphantly,
"Ah ha!!"

All three grand kids are in town, we are playing and going and doing.

Fishing yesterday was great with all of them catching some fish. Today it is Stone Mountain day with the Sky-Hike being the BIG deal...  Camera is ready...

Now only two grandkids and a niece or two..

Please don't send the food police out after me, I bought chix drumstix, mac N Cheese in the blue box (the Spongebob Squarepants one), and several other things that are just NEVER in rotation in this house.  And by the time of the day it is getting and we still have to go swimming somewhere, we will be having chain-restaurant chow again tonight to appease the vagaries of the under 12 set of folks I am feeding.

I had a grandchild delivery day today, we located the last two grandchildren by car to near Charlotte, NC and I drove back today.  Now I have no more grandchildren until Tuesday when the high-schooler will fly in and I'll deliver her to Augusta or beyond.

I found a pretty good BBQ place up there about half way, I'll do a report on it.

I did it too Bob.  He was a force much larger than people knew.  I miss him every day.
